Traditional Fine Art

Artwork created using traditional physical mediums, including drawing, painting, pastels, charcoal, ink, and mixed media.

Acrylic painting of a tropical sunset over calm ocean water, with silhouetted palm trees in the foreground and a warm pink, orange, and purple sky.

Sunset In The Tropics

Medium: Acrylic paint on canvas

A vibrant tropical sunset over the ocean, painted in acrylic on canvas. This piece reflects my love of landscapes and oceanscapes, particularly the way changing light can transform an otherwise familiar scene. The warm colors and peaceful horizon were intended to create a feeling of escape and wonder.

Acrylic landscape painting of a peaceful sunrise beside a lake, with flowers and trees surrounding calm water beneath a warm morning sky.

Sunrise Season

Medium: Acrylic paint on poster board

Sunrise Season portrays a quiet lakeside morning as warm light begins to fill the landscape. Flowers, trees, water, and the emerging sunlight work together to create a peaceful scene with a sense of freshness and renewal.

I was drawn to the feeling of a new beginning that comes with sunrise. Rather than focusing on dramatic action, this painting celebrates the calm beauty of an ordinary moment in nature and the gentle promise of a new day.

Watercolor landscape of a calm lake surrounded by mountains and autumn trees, with warm fall colors across the scenery.

Autumn Lakes

Medium: Watercolor on watercolor paper

Autumn Lakes is a watercolor landscape featuring a quiet lake surrounded by mountains, trees, and the rich colors of fall. The layered scenery creates a peaceful sense of depth while keeping the changing colors of the season at the heart of the composition.

This painting was created at my mother’s request because she had always wanted me to paint a landscape. That personal connection makes the piece more than a study of autumn scenery; it is also a reminder of how encouragement from someone we love can become part of the artwork itself.

Acrylic painting of a peaceful lake surrounded by flowers and trees beneath a warm golden sunset sky.

Lakeside Tranquility

Medium: Acrylic paint on poster board

Lakeside Tranquility is a peaceful landscape centered on calm water beneath a glowing golden evening sky. Flowers and trees surround the lake, adding layers of natural detail while the warm sunset light creates a quiet, reflective atmosphere.

The painting is an exploration of the kind of stillness found in nature when the day begins to wind down. Water, foliage, flowers, and evening light come together to create a scene intended to feel restful rather than dramatic.

Large acrylic seascape showing powerful turbulent waves beneath dark storm clouds over the ocean.

Turbulent Seas

Medium: Acrylic paint on canvas

Turbulent Seas explores the raw power of the ocean during an approaching storm. Large waves and dark clouds create movement across the scene, contrasting with the calmer coastal landscapes elsewhere in my collection.

Rather than portraying the ocean only as peaceful or beautiful, this piece focuses on its strength and unpredictability. The expressive acrylic work is intended to convey the energy of the water and the dramatic atmosphere that builds when nature becomes unsettled.

Acrylic landscape painting of majestic green mountains rising above clear blue ocean water beneath a bright sky.

Mountains of Paradise

Medium: Acrylic paint on canvas

Mountains of Paradise combines towering mountains with clear blue ocean water to create an idealized coastal landscape. The strong blues, dramatic forms, and tropical atmosphere give the scene the feeling of an imagined place where mountains and sea meet in harmony.

I enjoy landscapes that invite the viewer to imagine stepping into the scene, and this piece leans into that sense of escape. It brings together two subjects I return to often—mountains and the ocean—in a colorful interpretation of natural beauty.

Abstract acrylic painting using energetic shapes and contrasting colors to express anger, tension, sadness, and emotional conflict.

Emotions and Anger

Medium: Acrylic paint on poster board

Emotions and Anger is an abstract exploration of the intensity and complexity of human emotion. Anger is at its center, but the work is not meant to represent anger as a single, isolated feeling; it reflects the tension created when sadness, fear, frustration, and other emotions exist alongside it.

This piece is an example of how my artwork sometimes becomes an outlet for feelings that are difficult to express literally. Instead of depicting a recognizable scene, the abstract forms and expressive colors allow the emotion itself to become the subject.

Colorful abstract acrylic painting combining expressive shapes and colors with a Japanese Kanji element.

Fantasial

Medium: Acrylic paint on poster board

Fantasial is an abstract work that explores imagination, emotion, culture, and personal struggle through color and form. A Japanese Kanji element appears within the composition as one influence among many, rather than defining the entire piece.

The history of this painting is part of what makes it meaningful to me. I originally set it aside and considered it unsuccessful, but after being encouraged to recognize the artistic merit in it, I decided to give it another chance. Today, I see it as a reminder that a piece can sometimes reveal possibilities we do not recognize when we first create it.

Acrylic painting combining multiple contrasting landscapes, including beach, mountains, storm, snow, and grassland scenes.

Dramatica

Medium: Acrylic paint on poster board

Dramatica brings several contrasting landscapes together within a single composition. Beach, mountain, storm, snow, and grassland environments appear side by side, creating a visual journey through very different moods and forms of nature.

Rather than depicting one specific place, the painting embraces variety and imagination. Each section contributes its own atmosphere, allowing the piece to move from calm coastal scenery to dramatic weather and snowy mountains while celebrating the many faces of the natural world.

Oil pastel artwork of a blue skull surrounded by vivid green flames against black paper.

Skele-Flames

Medium: Oil pastel on black paper

Skele-Flames features a blue skull surrounded by vivid green flames against a dark background. The cool blue of the skull and intense green of the fire create a strong contrast that gives the piece a bold, dramatic presence.

This work represents one of the darker and more unconventional sides of my traditional art. I enjoy exploring subjects and imagery that allow color, mood, and expressive mark-making to take center stage, and the oil pastel medium helped amplify the contrast between the skull, flames, and black paper.

Black and white geometric abstract artwork using symmetrical quadrilateral shapes to form a stylized mask.

Masked Box Impressions

Medium: Black paint on paper

Masked Box Impressions is a geometric abstract study built from repeated four-sided shapes. Squares, parallelograms, and other quadrilateral forms are arranged into a symmetrical composition that suggests the features of a stylized mask.

The stark black-and-white treatment keeps the focus on geometry, pattern, symmetry, and form. I enjoy artwork that gives the viewer room to discover something within the shapes, and this piece invites different interpretations of the face and expression hidden within its structure.

Acrylic memorial painting combining floral and vine imagery with a cross to honor loved ones who have passed away.

In Memory of Loved Ones

Medium: Acrylic paint on canvas

In Memory of Loved Ones is one of my most personal works. I created it as a tribute to people I have loved and lost, including my mother, both of my grandmothers, my uncle, and several other loved ones whose memories remain important to me.

Floral and vine imagery surrounds a cross, creating a symbolic composition centered on remembrance, love, and enduring memory. The religious element is intentionally subtle and reflects the faith of some of those being remembered, while the heart of the painting remains the people, memories, and love behind it. The original painting is not available for sale; reproductions allow its message of remembrance to continue to be shared.

Watercolor painting of a hummingbird beside a white rose, created as a personal tribute to a friend's beloved grandmother.

Grandmother Tribute

Medium: Watercolor on watercolor paper

Grandmother Tribute is a watercolor created as a heartfelt tribute to a friend’s beloved grandmother. The hummingbird was chosen because it was her grandmother’s favorite, while the white rose became a personal symbol of remembrance.

Blue was used in the rose’s shadows and shading as a subtle tribute to my friend’s favorite color. Every major element was chosen with meaning, turning the painting into a personal expression of love, memory, and honoring someone deeply missed. The original watercolor was gifted to my friend; reproductions allow the tribute to continue to be shared.

Digital Fine Art

Artwork created digitally, exploring color, composition, illustration, imagination, and other forms of digital artistic expression.

Digital painting of a powerful tropical ocean wave breaking beneath a bright blue sky, with vivid blue, green, and yellow water.

Sunny Breakers

Medium: Digital painting created in Photoshop

Sunny Breakers is a digital fine art painting inspired by the movement and energy of a breaking tropical wave. Vivid blue, green, and yellow tones build the water and light into a lively ocean scene, balancing the power of the wave with the beauty of the surrounding sea.

Although the medium is digital rather than traditional, the piece shares my long-standing fascination with landscapes and oceanscapes. It is an example of how I can take a subject I love in traditional art and explore it through a completely different set of tools and techniques.
